Well. It’s Sunday again. I’m looking ahead at this week. There’s a few interesting happening for the week ahead:
Tuesday, 12 August 2008, 6PM-8PM. Well folks–There’s only three more weeks of the Music in the Plaza series left. Don’t miss out. This week, it’s Poor Man’s Whiskey (which I kind of like the sound of out here in wine country). I have it on the word of KC Mosso over at Ravenous, that it’s going to be a foot stompin’ good time.
Wednesday, 13 August 2008, all day–in fact, every Wednesday this August, Costeaux is rolling back their prices on certain bread products to 1923 prices! Get on down to Costeaux to try some original bread 1920s recipes and pay only what you would have then (while supplies last).
Wednesday, 30 July 2008, 8PM-11PM. Every Wednesday now…Adam Lieb’s Locals Jam in the courtyard at the Palette-Art Cafe. Ongoing. You never know who will show up! Come for dinner, or just a drink. Contact Adam if you’d like to perform.
Thursday, 14 August 08, 5:30PM: The Bucky Walters band. High energy, fresh, nostalgic bluegrass vibe. Get your soggy bottom on over to Mill Creek Winery this Thursday. Admission is free, bring a picnic, but no outside alcoholic beverages please. 1401 Westside Rd, Healdsburg (map).
Friday, 15 August 2008 sometime in the afternoon. There’s a few options for music this Friday evening. Stop by Michel Shlumberger Winery (4155 Wine Creek Road–map) to start winding down (or up) your Grapes-to-Glass weekend. After you’ve had a glass and a bite to eat, stop off at Wilson Winery (1960 Dry Creek Road–map) for a some Las Muchachas…and maybe get a cha cha lesson.
Saturday and Sunday 16 and 17 August 2008, 10AM to 4PM : Nicole Bacigalupi invited everybody out to the Bacigalupi vineyards to partake in some history: In 1973, their vineyard provided some of the Chardonnay fruit that went into the Chateau Montelena Chardonnay that won the Paris tasting in 1976, and put the California wine region on the map. This weekend, they will share the history of their vineyards, their newest wines, as well as taste selections of their library of wines. 4375 Westside Road, Healdsburg (map).
