What Do You Like to Eat, Healdsburg?

September 16, 2008 · Print This Article · Written by Jennifer

My friend Sean told me the other day he’d visited each and every of the 53 eateries in town (not on one day–but over the course of the last few years). And I realized that every Healdsburgian probably has something to say about each and every one of these places.

You live here, my friends. Who knows better than you what you like to eat and where.

So, I just thought I would ask. What is your favorite menu item at any of our local restaurants?

Please leave a comment at the bottom of this article.

I do have some guidelines though. If you want to comment on somebody else’s comment, please respect their opinions and experiences. In other words, don’t dis another commenter. Talk to them as if they were in the same room as you…not a faceless person from the internet. Present your own perspective.

That’s it. What do you think Healdsburg? Where do you eat? What do you like on the menus?

There are lots of great places to eat in town no doubt. I would have to say Ravenous and Bovolo are my favorites. Both have outstanding food, Ravenous has the better ambiance, and 2 full bars and live music! But Bovolo is easier to get in and eat without waiting for a table its all about good food.
Either way I have never been disappointed form either.

For Mexican food I’ve always been a fan of Taqueria El Sombrero. There are a bunch more that I would go to any day but that one stands out for me.

The favorite place for my family is the Bear Republic! The patio is great for Gavin & Kayla. Kasey & Jason love the beer. Even Shana finds something vegetarian she loves!

Is there really 53 restaurants in town? Wow, I have a lot of eating to do.

My favorite’s have been DiVine Pizza, The Bear Republic and Ravenous. The first two are great because you can take your kids there, the third because it is a fun place to go after the kids are asleep and in the capable hands of a baby sitter.

Keep up the site! We love it!

I just ate at Scopa the other night and I was quite impressed. This is real italian food! They have a fresh mozzarella dish that is to die for. Service was great and the prices were reasonable for the quality. Healdsburg B & G is also greatly improved since Cyrus took over.

A few Healdsburg favorites: The bacon wrapped scallops at Willi’s (melt in your mouth), the fusilli pasta with smoked chicken and sundried tomatoes in a rich, buttery creme sauce at Charcuterie (prepare for a post-gnosh nap, this is heavy stuff), crispy fried green beans at Zin, and the most heavenly lattes and scones (the “….& creme” kind are the BEST) at the Goat.

Got something to say?
