Healdsburg Antique Fair

This past Sunday was the Healdsburg Antique Fair that comes to Healdsburg on the Sunday of every three-day holiday weekend during the summer.
I stopped by to walk around after I got my iced soy mocha from the Flying Goat and thought it felt that there were less merchants than before.
Maybe it is because I went later on in the afternoon, and as any good Antique Savant knows, you have to go first thing in the morning to get the good stuff. Regardless, it still felt that there were not as many venders as there had been at the Memorial Day Antique Fair. Maybe because this three day weekend started on a Friday and people were tired from the long weekend. Maybe it was just me…so, if you were there earlier in the day, please comment and let me know your opinion.
No matter how many merchants filled the park, the vibe downtown was the same as always, many smiling faces, children playing in the fountain and local street musician, Justin, singing rock tunes. The weather was a perfect blend of sunny skies and cool breezes.
My two favorite vendors were Will Baker’s Asian artifacts stand where you could find antique statues of almost any Western religion. Even better, there was an amazing collection of antique rings and a used record selection with records ranging from 50s Jazz, to an entire box filled with Grateful Dead albums to a few newer albums of Beck .
Both venders only sell their items at local Northern California fairs, so make sure to check them out at the next Healdsburg Antique Fair on Sunday, August 31st.
